About Vertical Air Compressors
A vertical tank takes the same volume of stored air as a horizontal one but occupies roughly a third of the floor area. The trade-off is height — make sure your workshop has at least 1.7–2.0 m clearance for a 200L+ vertical compressor.
Vertical compressors are typically belt-drive with cast-iron pumps and 2HP–5HP motors, delivering 8–20 CFM. Both single-phase 240V and 3-phase 415V versions are common.
