About Air Compressors for Airbrushing
Most airbrushes draw 0.3–0.8 CFM at 15–40 PSI — well within the range of a small 3L mini compressor. Look for a model with a pressure regulator, moisture trap and auto-stop pressure switch.
Diaphragm compressors are silent but pulse the air slightly. Piston mini compressors with a 3L tank give a steadier flow, ideal for serious illustration and miniature painting.
