Every basket below ships ready-planted — pick the colour scheme that suits your space.
Choosing the Right Basket
- Sunny doorway or patio: 'Sunset Oasis' or 'Eton Mess' — both bred for long, continuous summer colour in brighter spots.
- Forgetful with watering? The self-watering 'Sunset Oasis' baskets have a built-in reservoir that buys you a bit of slack.
- Want something useful as well as pretty: 'Tumbling Tom' tomato baskets double as a mini kitchen garden.
- Shaded spot: Stick with fuchsia varieties, which tend to tolerate lower light better than petunias or calibrachoa.
- Refreshing for autumn or winter: Check YouGarden's separate winter pre-planted range, built around cold-tolerant varieties rather than summer bedding.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Every basket arrives already planted and grown on, so there's no compost, no plug plants and no waiting for it to fill out — just unpack, hang and water.
Hanging baskets dry out faster than ground-planted beds, especially in summer — check daily and water when the compost feels dry, rather than on a fixed schedule. Self-watering models like 'Sunset Oasis' help reduce how often you need to check.
Check the terms on each code at checkout — discount codes generally can't be combined with each other, but the free delivery code can usually be used alongside the first-order or spend-based discount. Garden Essentials items are excluded from the percentage-off codes.
YouGarden generally dispatches within 3-5 working days, with tracked courier delivery. Pre-order items (like the Tumbling Tom tomato baskets) ship once back in stock — check the product page for the current dispatch date.
