Power tool leader MILWAUKEE® is establishing a cutting-edge training centre at Westcott Venture Park in Aylesbury Vale. This new facility, spanning 13,250 sq ft, marks a significant addition to Milwaukee’s UK footprint and will serve as a training and experience hub for employees and clients in the region.
The Vision and Commitment
Milwaukee has signed a 10-year lease with PATRIZIA Hanover Property Unit Trust, owners of Westcott Venture Park, in partnership with Milwaukee’s parent company, Techtronic Industries UK. The centre, called Building 1030, will feature advanced training facilities, meeting rooms, and testing areas that will support skill-building for up to 300 employees annually. The development is set to be completed by Parkway Construction by May 6, 2025, with Milwaukee planning to begin its internal fit-out in June and open its doors by July.
Advancing Training and Sustainability
The facility will allow Milwaukee to train its workforce on the company’s extensive range of power tools, safety equipment, and outdoor power solutions. A specially designed outdoor area will enable employees to test and experience Milwaukee’s battery-operated outdoor tools, including eco-friendly alternatives to petrol-powered equipment like lawn mowers and chainsaws, aligning with Milwaukee’s commitment to sustainable practices.
Dan Stringer, Head of Training at TTI, highlighted that the choice of Westcott Venture Park was influenced by its capacity for future growth, strong environmental standards, and robust security. “Westcott offers the space and security we need, with sustainability credentials that resonate with our values,” Stringer said, underscoring the company’s dedication to responsible business practices.
A Growing UK Presence for Milwaukee
Milwaukee’s expansion into the UK is part of a wider global strategy. Following its acquisition by TTI in 2004, the brand has expanded into key markets across North America, Europe, and Australia, with the UK emerging as an important growth area. The company’s workforce has tripled in recent years, reflecting the demand for its innovative and durable tools.
A Hub for Industry Collaboration
Nigel MacKenzie, Development Manager at Westcott, described the park’s central location as ideal for a training centre, offering a prime base for multinational companies looking to expand in the UK. “This deal highlights Westcott’s success in attracting industry leaders and underscores the next phase of development for the Park,” MacKenzie noted, adding that the park’s extensive facilities and strong business community provide a supportive ecosystem for Milwaukee and its operations.
Milwaukee’s investment at Westcott marks a pivotal step in its growth strategy and reaffirms its commitment to delivering cutting-edge training, sustainable practices, and robust, industry-leading tools for the construction and trade sectors.
